I have been talking with Jeff Moran and the line up for the procession will start at 9:30. I will meeting with him then to get our spot, which is going to be in front of the fire trucks. This is going to be done so that we can get to the school and jump in the flag line that PGR will have started.

This is a confirmed time for the arrival of Army Specialist Brandon Steffey. The plane will be in Kinross at 7:33 a.m. Some members will be leaving the Soo at 6:45 with the ALR. All Forgotten Eagles members attending will be stageing at the gas station directly off the Kinross exit and I-75 at 7:05 and kickstands up 7:15. The army is still working out the time, but would like the public to come out along the procession route. Another procession will follow Wednesday's funeral that starts at noon at Sault Ste. Marie High School. Governor Granholm is also asking flags to fly at half-staff Wednesday in honor of Spc. Steffy.

All of you have been waiting for an update on details for Spc Steffey.

So far this is all I have and will be getting more as it gets closer. The family is on their way to Michigan. The funeral is set for either Monday or Tuesday of net week at Sault High. I am working together with American Legion Riders and PGR so far and they have been a great help getting information to me.

We have lost yet another local hero! He was Army Specialist Brandon Steffey who was killed yesterday by a road side bomb. Steffey grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Brimley High School in 2005.

The 23-year-old joined the Army in 2006 and served two tours of duty as a K-9 handler. Steffey has a young daughter in Texas.

The VFW in Atlanta will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, November 7th. This is the evening prior to Forgotten Eagles® RAM Check Presentation & State Board Meeting.

I would just like to take a minute to thank all the members of Forgotten Eagles that helped make the kareoke contest a big success. Not only chapter 1 but the members that showed their support from chapter 6. It was definately a good time. I would also like to thank the staff from The Corner Pub for asking us back. Here is an update for the arrival of Army Spc. Christopher T. Griffin.

The arrival time is set for 12 noon Sunday Oct 11, 2009 at the airport in Kinross, MI. He will be transferred from the plane at the hanger by the fire hall just east of the main terminal.

Members of Forgotten Eagles and the American Legion Riders will be present at the arrival and then follow, as a procession to the funeral home. Order of procession will be the transfer vehicle and the family, then anyone wishing to follow.… Continue
